If you choose the in-office option, Dr. Rizqalla takes several X-ray images of your teeth and gums and creates impressions of your upper and lower teeth. A technician from our laboratory creates two customized mouth trays for you. The next step is to return to our office for the tooth whitening procedure. Dr. Rizqalla pours a bleaching agent into each tray and places them in your mouth.

You remain seated in the dental chair for approximately 60 minutes while the bleaching gel penetrates through all layers of your tooth enamel. After removing the trays and directing you to rinse your mouth, Dr. Rizqalla shines a special dental light on your teeth to bring out their natural shine even more.

Whitening Your Teeth at Home

Using an at-home tooth whitening kit is the more economical choice, but you should not confuse this option with teeth whitening products you can buy at a drugstore. The quality of the bleaching gel is superior to over-the-counter kits. You must fill the trays before bed each night and wear them as you sleep. Dr. Rizqalla will let you know how many nights you should repeat this step based on your current level of tooth discoloration and the results you would like to see.
